फाल्गुनन्द १३६औं जयन्ती एवम् समाजसुधार पुरस्कार वितरण

मिति २०७७ कार्तीक २५ गते राष्ट्रिय विभुती समाज सुधारक महागुरु फाल्गुनन्द्को १३६औं जन्म जयन्ती समारोह तथा पुरस्कार वितरण कार्यक्रम शताब्दी पुरुष संस्कृतिविद एवम् वाङमय शताब्दी पुरुष सत्य मोहन जोशी ज्युको प्रमुख आतिथ्यमा सम्पन्न भएको छ । उक्त समारोहमा यस वर्ष २०७७ सालको लागि कियाचु फाल्गुनन्द लिङदेन समाजसुधार पुरस्कारबाट किरात याक्थुङ चुम्लुङको संस्थापक अध्यक्ष तथा आदिवासी जनजाति आन्दोलनकर्मी नन्द कन्दङवालाई पुरस्कृत गरिएको छ ।

कोभिड महामारीको कारण जुम भर्चुअल मार्फत आयोजित उक्त समारोहमा प्रमुख अतिथि जोशीले आफनो प्रतिष्ठा र राष्ट्रिय व्यक्तित्व, सत्यको खोजको निम्ति योगदान दिनुहुने राष्ट्रिय विभूति समाजसुधारक महागुरु फाल्गुनन्द लिङदेनको योगदानको उच्च मुल्याङ्कन गर्नुपर्ने बताउनुभयो । किरात इतिहासको गौरव, संस्कृति, प्रकृति पुगक, पुर्खाहरुको सम्मान जस्ता महत्वपूर्ण पाटाहरु छन् । आफनै भाषा लिपि, ब्रम्हाण्डलाई हेर्ने दृष्टिकोणको धनी छ । भाषा भएन भने पहिचान रहदैन । समताभाव, विविधतामा एकता हुनुपर्दछ । आज पुरस्कृत व्यक्तित्वको भिजनको सम्मान गर्दै बधाई ज्ञापन गर्नुभयो भनी आफना महत्वपूर्ण मन्तव्य राख्नुभयो । पुरस्कृत व्यक्तित्व नन्द कन्दङवाले किरात याक्थुङ चुम्लुङको वर्तमान चुनौतीहरु र आगामी दिनमा गर्नुपर्ने कार्यहरु, समाजमा विद्यमान धार्मिक तथा मौलिक शब्दहरुमाथिको बहस, आफुले समाजको लागि गरेका प्रयासहरु, आदिवासी जनजाति आन्दोलनकर्मी हुनुका अनुभवहरु मन्तव्यमा व्यक्त गर्नुभयो ।

पुरस्कृत व्यक्तित्व कन्दङवाको योगदानको बारेमा पुरस्कार निर्णायक समितिको संयोजक एवम् केन्द्रीय सल्लाहकार याम पयाङ्गुले चर्चा गर्नुभयो । साथै वहाँलाई सल्लाहकार नरप्रसाद लिम्बु, केन्द्रीय पदाधिकारी तथा सदस्यहरुले बधाई तथा शुभकामना दिनुभएको थियो । कियाचु फाल्गुनन्द लिङदेन पुरस्कार पुरस्कारको राशी रु १० हजार, सम्मान पत्र रहेको छ । कार्यक्रममा पुरस्कार संस्थापक सदस्यहरुको नाम वाचन र स्मरण भएको थियो । कार्यक्रमको अध्यक्षता कियाचु केन्द्रीय अध्यक्ष योगराज लिम्बु वनेम, उद्घोषण निरन्ती तुम्बापो, सम्मान पत्र सचिव यासेली योङहाङले वाचन, फाल्गुनन्द लिङदेनको जीवनी केन्द्रीय उपाध्यक्ष उपप्राध्यापक प्रेम येक्तेनले गर्नुभएको थियो ।

कोभिडको कारण २०७७ कात्तिक २५ गते जुम भर्चअल मार्फत घोषणा भएको उक्त कियाचु फाल्गुनन्द लिङदेन पुरस्कारबाट पुरस्कृत व्यक्ति नन्द कन्दङ्वालाई पागा (शीर उठाउनी फेटा) पहिराएर, माला पहिराएर पुरस्कार सम्मान पत्र र पुरस्कार राशी रु १० हजार मिति २०७७ पुस २४ गतेका दिन केन्द्रीय कार्यालयमा हस्तान्तरण गर्नुभयो । पुरस्कृत व्यक्तित्व नन्द कन्दङवाको चिनारी विवरण निम्नानुसार रहेको छ ।

Academic qualification and study: Study Master’s in Public Administration (M.P.A) and B.Sc. / B.Ed

Work experience in development field: 19 years in Nepal (8 years in IPOs and 11 years in Action Aid Nepal) Country visited and program knowledge of: India, Sri-Lanka, Combodia, Mexico and Switzerland. Development organizations experienced in Nepal: Kirat Yakthung Chumlung (IPO), Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities – NeFIN (Federation of IPOs) and Action Aid Nepal (INGO).

Areas of Expertise • Peoples Social Movement: Building people’s organization, development of leaders / activists and leadership, capacity building of activists, network and alliances building, making strategy, formulating claims and demands, planning and programming of movement, inter-linkage etc. I have experiences of / and engaged in kamaiya liberation and rehabilitation movement, dalit movement against caste based discrimination especially of western and far western region, movement for the issues of Karnali as a discriminated area, and indigenous peoples’ movement of Nepal. • Rights Based Program and Advocacy: Designing of rights based and advocacy program, planning and programming of rights based program and advocacy, capacity building for rights based and advocacy program, network and alliances development, rights based approach / human rights based approach, peoples’ centered advocacy, empowerment of excluded and marginalized people / communities, linkages development etc. • Project Management: Rights / advocacy based project designing, partnership project, project planning, monitoring, project team management and project reporting etc. I have managed three projects i.e. Pro-minority, Samarthya, Intersection of HIVAIDS and violence against women, Basic Free Health Care Services at Local Level – as Team Leader • Management (Program and Organisation / Team): Development Area Program, Development Initiative, Non-DA / Issue based program, Partnership and partnership program, organization system and policies, development of thematic strategies and organizational strategies, team or staff management etc. I have experiences of management working in various management positions and senior management position in AAN. • Planning and Programming: Three Years Rolling and Planning (TYRP), Annual Planning and Budgeting (APB), community planning / participatory planning, proposal development as a responsibility of senior managers and Senior Management Team Member etc. • Partnership: Partnership with NGOs, CBOs, IPOs, Alliances and Peoples’ Organizations • Training and orientation: Capacity building, RBA,/HRBA, partnership, thematic strategy development, leadership development, organization development, international labor organization convention no 169 and UNDRIP etc
